The rescue
Twenty-two Vietnamese refugees, including six women and three children
were rescued from an open boat in the South China Sea
last Tuesday. They had no food or water, and their boat was sinking. John
Silver, captain of the Pacific Star,
found the boat and bought the refugees to Hong Kong ,
where they are now in a special government camp. This story has a happy ending.
Captain Silver fell in love with one of his unexpected passengers, and
yesterday he married Miss Kim.
